WOAH!! Who feels like the start of 2017 is already off to a crazy start?!

I meant for this little DIY to be posted Thursday, but this week has been a little crazy with the #HappyNewYOU challenge beginning, and starting work on the first update for the nutrition program!

First of all, you ladies are doing AMAZING with check-ins in the community and supporting each other. Many of you are taking HUGE steps, and letting yourself be vulnerable by posting your before pictures — and I want to thank you so much for trusting us, and helping motivate others! 💕

And, with all the working out this week, I know you’ll want a little relaxation and pampering today on your rest day, and I have just the thing to help!

As you know, I have been ALL about detoxing the last week or so — a few days of detoxing my diet, a detoxifying clay mask — twice! So, obviously, I thought it would be good idea to make a super detoxing bath salt recipe to soak in.

These Energizing Detox Bath Salts will not only help to rid your body of toxins, but will also ease sore muscles, and let you relax during your soak, so that you feel energized and refreshed afterwards.

It’s been literally forever since my first bath salt recipe — which was a super relaxing lavender recipe, and is perfect for just before hitting the sheets for a good night’s sleep! But this recipe will help to invigorate you and give you a little boost when you need it.

It comes from the blend of essential oil such as renewing lemon, cooling peppermint, and exhilarating eucalyptus. This recipe also includes mineral-rich dead sea salt and of course epsom salts for muscle tension.

Dead Sea Salt is filled with minerals and nutrients, including magnesium, potassium, sodium, sulfur, zinc, calcium, chloride, iodide, and bromide

Soaking a in warm bath with the high concentration of health promoting minerals found in the dead sea salt increases your circulation and supports detoxification in your body by removing toxic byproducts.

Dead Sea Salt includes:

♥︎ Bromide soothes skin, relaxes body muscles, and helps to calms nerves.

♥︎ Potassium helps to reduce water retention — goodbye bloating! — and balances moisture in the skin and body.

♥︎ Calcium is essential for strengthening bones and teeth, but it’s also important to strengthen cell membranes and cleanses pores.

♥︎ Sodium relieves stiffness and muscle cramps, and detoxifies, helping cells retain nourishment and expel waste.

…and more, including magnesium, sulfur, iodine, and zinc!

Benefits of Epsom Salts

♥︎ According to the Epsom Salt Industry Council, a simple soak is beneficial to heart and circulatory health, and may even help to lower blood pressure

♥︎ Magnesium helps to metabolize and rid the body of substances deliberately added to high sugar, and high processed foods, such as phosphoric acid

♥︎ Sulfur assists the liver in detoxification by helping to excrete toxic metals, such as mercury, lead, and arsenic from the body.

♥︎ Sulfur also improves overall oxygen transport in and out of the cell. This in turn makes for more efficient transport of waste products out of the cell, hence improving overall detoxification
